Agroecology is the transition path towards more sustainability in agriculture and the agri-food chain. In particular, it is a more autonomous, more profitable and more ecological agricultural system. It is also a relocated food system that creates jobs, is based on (shorter) circuits and produces healthy and fresh food, obtained from living soils, in accordance with the concept of ‘One Health’ from the root microbiota to our gut microbiota.
Agroecology is a unifying concept that reconciles organic and conservation agriculture, which includes agroforestry, carbon farming, low-input farming, and other related techniques or systems. Unlike conversion to organic, the agroecological transition can take several years. It is therefore essential to be able to situate each farm in relation to its level of transition. This is what the OASIS indicator system, developed by Agroecology Europe, can do.
The webinar will give you all the answers on how to use the OASIS indicator system. It will show you its performance and its potential to develop the agriculture of the future.
