On behalf of Agroecology Europe, the European Association for Agroecology, it is our great pleasure to invite you to our third Forum 2021.
While the forum had to take place initially in June 2021, due to the Covid-19 crisis, the organising Committee has decided to postpone in to November 2021, and build a hybrid event on line/on site.
The event will therefore take place from 18 to 20 November 2021 in Barcelona, in Spain, at the premises of the Barcelona City Council, in the building of the Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona (Centro Fabra i Coats).
For this third edition of the Forum, we came up with the theme: “Agroecology for regeneration of our food systems and communities”.
Following its tradition, the Forum again offers a wide range of highly interactive exchanges sessions, technical workshops and field visits with academicians, universities, local farmers, experts, social movement organisations, local administrations and local/national/European non-governmental organisations.
This Forum will take place in the beautiful city of Barcelona in Spain. This conference is a wonderful opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on agroecology, as well as reflecting together on how the agroecology can support better the regeneration of our food systems and communities.
Together we will try to answer the following questions: Which agroecological tools can we use and how can we strengthen them to enhance local food systems and communities in Europe? What is the role of agroecology to face global emergencies such as climate change and pandemics? Can we address these challenges without strong and living communities? Which local practices and policies should be developed in Europe to foster sustainable agri-food systems and healthy diets?
We are convinced that this Forum is an excellent event that will allow you to learn many new things as well as share your experience.
See you in Barcelona or virtually!
The 3rd Agroecology Europe Forum, like the past Fora, will follow a Plastic-Free & CO2 emissions-offset policy!
In concrete, it means that:
- Meals in the Forum will be served using reusable, ceramic plates, metal forks etc.
- 1% of the Forum registration fee will be offered to support to a carbon offset initiative.
This consists an innovative action on behalf of the AEEU Forum and is expected to find followers and to be implemented by other similar events.
