It has been recently noticed an increasing number of conference invitations to several stakeholders with regards to Agroecology issues. These conferences display impressive titles such as “International Conference on Agroecology and Organic Farming” or “International Conference on Agroecology and Crop Science”.
Agroecology Europe would like to warn on these fake or otherwise called “predatory” conferences.

While in Europe the debate continues about whether agroecology should incorporate other knowledges and cultures at the same level as science, thousands of people at the recent IV National Agroecology Encounter (ENA) in Brazil strongly affirmed that agroecology is a united struggle.
Between April 3 and 5, the second International Agroecology Symposium was held in Rome. “Scaling Up agroecology to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” was the theme of the meeting. Various members of Agroecology Europe were among the 800 people present at the symposium.
