AGROECOLOGY EUROPE NEWSLETTER: SPRING 2025

As spring blooms across Europe, Agroecology Europe is excited to share the latest updates, opportunities, and stories driving the agroecological transition forward. Here is a brief summary of the highlights of the Spring Newsletter, featuring three interviews with our members.

We’re currently seeking a proactive Operations and Fundraising Manager to support our growing work and lead strategic development.

On the policy front, Agroecology Europe has officially joined the European Board on Agriculture and Food (EBAF), a key advisory group to the European Commission.

Our calendar is full of exciting events. This 2–4 October , we invite you to the Agroecology Europe Forum 2025 in Malmö, Sweden. For the first time hosted in the Nordic region, the AEEU Forum will gather hundreds of farmers, researchers, activists, and policymakers around the theme “Transformation in Action!” Earlier in the season, the first International Congress of Mediterranean Agroecology takes place in Agrigento, Italy, from 9–12 June .

Youth engagement remains central to our mission. The Agroecology Europe Youth Network has already participated in the first EU Youth Policy Dialogue on Agriculture in December 2024 and will continue the conversation on 7 May, tackling themes like generational renewal and just transition.
